Friday Fun Five!

Iiiiiiiiiiit's only bloody Friday!  That means it's Friday Fun Five time :o)

Last week Musing Bella chose Stoney, from Twi-Soup , author of the fantastic The Ascent  and co-author of the legendary Call of Booty

Sooooo, over to Stoney for this week's questions!

YAY! FFF! Full of Win!!! I'm so excited. Thank you Musing Bella for digging my doggie joke. I'm flattered.

My brain doesn't always work so forgive me if questions have been repeated. I would like to say that I searched through the FFF archives to ensure no duplication but...meh...WAY to lazy for that.
Ok, so without further ado...here is your Friday Fun Five Stoney style.

1. We all know the game 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon right? (If not I'm sure someone will link it for you right about HERE). So let's play 6 Degree's of Robert Pattinson. How many people/acquaintances does it take to connect you to The Precious? For example this is mine: I went to high school with Daniel Vosovic (from Project Runway fame), we were not super close friends but he still hugs me when he see's me so I guess that is a good sign...he designed a dress for the New Moon red carpet event for singer/songwriter Anya Marina who sang Satellite Heart on the New Moon Soundtrack...Anya Marina has met The Precious. Now...how about you? Think hard! If you don't have one...YOU DO NOW, so instead tell me how excited you are that I have given you under 6 degree's of Patzy.

2. In honor of Glee coming back this month, I would like to know what your "go to" shower/car song is. Most of us like to belt it when we think no one is listening...or if you are me you do it anyway and ignore dirty looks from your coworkers...so what is your favorite American Idol-In-Your-Car audition song?

Ok, so they're not singing, but they ARE in the shower

And so's he *sigh*

3. If you could go back and redo one moment in your life what would it be and why? It doesn't matter if you want a do-over because you made a huge mistake and you would like it rectified...or if the moment was so amazing you would love to relive it one more time.

Remember this?  Aah, good times!

4. I'm a sucker for the paranormal. I'm pretty sure I want to have Dave Tango's babies (from Ghost Hunters). Sure I know this has nothing to do with my question I just thought I would throw it out there. Anyway...*shakes head to clear images of Dave Tango and the things I would like to do with him to have said babies out of my head* Have you ever had a ghostly encounter? If so..spill it.

Ghost, haunted, what's the difference?

5. I got grounded a lot as a kid. Especially in High School. What was the worst thing you ever did that got you in trouble with your Parentals?

So, I can't be the only one who got grounded for racing across the world to save the vampire I was in love with from committing suicide, right?  Oh, hang on....that wasn't me, it was Bella.  Oops.

Thanks Stoney, fab questions!  I really need to update and post Twilight Cupcake's list of previous questions, I'll try and get that done today.

Don't forget, answers in the comments, Stoney will choose a winner and they'll set next week's questions.  Happy Friday Ho's!

Hey Stoney G, great questions, loving the Booty btw!

1) 6 degrees-um well I know you through here then you know Daniel, who did the dress for thingy who knows the Precious. Otherwise I know Jelena through here who knows Dick who works for Kellan who knows the Golden One. Besides that I got nothin, nada, I know no-one close to the Precious in RL...:0(

2)Song you can't not sing-Oh my there's a few-Twisted Transistor by Korn, I love Korn, I love sitting in the car doing the thrash metal talk voice you know like Slipknot style when it gets to this bit Hey you, hey you this won't hurt a bit (THIS WON'T HURT A BIT!
THIS WON'T HURT!)
Says who says who? anesthetize this bitch (ANESTHETIZE THIS BITCH!
ANESTHETIZE!)
Just let me be between you and me don't fit
There I am looking groomed on my way to work, long blonde hair, red lipstick, all in black, windows open, this on max volume gravelly voiced doing this hehe...love it..otherwise Texas Inner Smile, Killer Queen by Queen, um Sweet Home Alabama-LS, Heaven-The Cure, ooo Shamabala by Three Dog Night, Paper Thin Hymn-Anberlin, Animal inside-3 days grace. I have too many songs.....

3)Redo-I would leave my husband that first time he ever hit me and not go through the fucking misery he put me through...or I would relive my wedding again and not let my mum drive to it with me as she was so fucking horrible she made me cry on my wedding day. Or I would relive my first day in Disney because I forgot to charge my camera and it stopped after 2 pictures...gutted

4)Oooo I love Paranormal shit-Yes ok well I went to Cliffords Tower in York and had an amazing sense of deja vu and I said to my mum the kitchen was there and the hall here and I'd never been before and I was right! Also the house I live in now, my eldest child as a 1+ yr old would not sleep through the night, I was besides myself through lack of sleep, eventually in tears I asked him what was so wrong and he said the old lady kept pinching him. When I asked him what old lady, he pointed to the corner of the room but at the ceiling and she's there. I was scared and angry at this point so I said, why can't you fucking leave him alone, he's just a little boy and you're scaring him, piss off and don't come back. It did stop but it is always cold in that room. Also once I saw the postman come to my house but hten he walked past the window round to next door. There is a large hedge there and he couldn't have got passed. When I looked there was no one then and no post. I asked the neighbours about it and they said te old road went round right where my house is. Well was, thats my old home up north not hte one I'm in now with the old lady ghost lol

5)Grounded-When I was 5 my mum caught me saying fuck and I got sent to bed without watching scooby doo, I got kicked out of the house because my mum hit me so I hit her back and I lived in my local pub for a week. She threw all my stuff out of the bedroom window cos I wouldn't pick it up off the floor, I disappeared for the weekend to Hull with some friends and forgot to tell her about it, she found me in bed with my boyfriend er her bed lol cos she wasn't living at home then so I thought what the fuck its bigger than my bed. I never got grounded, she couldn't have kept me in anyway she was never there, I lived on my own when I was 16...so much for parental guidance

Well that's it for me, loved the questions Stoney. Even though it may not sound like it at times, I had a pretty good childhood, kind of, I wasn't a bad kid, just no one was around so I did what I wanted pretty much. When I hit 13 I was on my own a lot, mum had boyfriends and I just got on with it. Hey it was sort of cool being in charge of myself LOL

Ok, here goes!

1. We all know the game 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon right? (If not I'm sure someone will link it for you right about HERE). So let's play 6 Degree's of Robert Pattinson. How many people/acquaintances does it take to connect you to The Precious?

Mine's the same as Nibbles's - through Jelena via her Lost bestie, Dick & Kellan (although I'd be happy enough to stop at Kellan, not sure Jelena would let me though :oP). Love you Jelly! lol!

2. In honor of Glee coming back this month, I would like to know what your "go to" shower/car song is. Most of us like to belt it when we think no one is listening...or if you are me you do it anyway and ignore dirty looks from your coworkers...so what is your favorite American Idol-In-Your-Car audition song?

Hmm, I'm not one for seeing to myself really, I do love a good sing along to music though - I really love murdering Sinatra's The Lady is a Tramp, in fact I'm going to put it on and do that right now, it's been a while :o)

3. If you could go back and redo one moment in your life what would it be and why? It doesn't matter if you want a do-over because you made a huge mistake and you would like it rectified...or if the moment was so amazing you would love to relive it one more time.

Reading the Twilight Saga for the first time, completely unspoiled by the movie or the fandom, that would be interesting.

I'd have said going back to when each of my children were babies if we could have had more than one, because it goes too fast and I'd love to see it again for real, not just photos.

4. Have you ever had a ghostly encounter? If so..spill it.

I can't wait to read Mary's answer to this! You'll see why ;o)
I've had a few bits of things, but probably nothing that was definite. I used to work in a building that had started life as a big old house. We used to work evenings and I ran one course where there was usually only two of us left at the end of the evening finishing off our paperwork. A couple of odd things happened, the water machine thing started bubbling by itself and a light turned itself off. They also had problems with the alarm going off by itself at night for no reason and another member of staff was sitting in the porch having a ciagrette when a knife fell down in front of the door, even though there was nobody upstairs in the room above the porch at the time. The room at the back of the building used to give me the creeps too.

Oh, and my cousin was killed in a car accident 7 years ago. Afterwards I felt his presence a couple of times. Nothing happened but I knew he was there. Sounds weird, I can't really explain why! I've also had a few spot-on tarot readings.

5. I got grounded a lot as a kid. Especially in High School. What was the worst thing you ever did that got you in trouble with your Parentals?

I was the usual selfish teen. I never actually got grounded but I know my mum used to despair. Me and my group of friends were expected home from town on the last bus when I was 16 and we'd started going out to the pubs. We met a group of lads and went to a nightclub instead and they walked usnhome (about 3 miles and it was November), we got in in the early hours of the morning and my mum was sitting up waiting for me, not good!
When I got my first boyfriend I also used to borrow her car to go and meet him, then we'd stay out *ahem*, you know ;o), and I wouldn't get back until the early hours again. This was the days before mobiles so I was uncontactable - and in a ditch somewhere in her mind. I cringe now that I can imagine, as an adult, what she went through worrying about me. Bloody kids!

Fab questions Stoney! Off to read the rest of Nibbles's answers now, I just caught a glimpse of her number 1 as I scrolled.

Stan said...

@Nibbles, PMSL at the vision of you singing that you described! Oh, and you know that invitation to stay overat your house- I'll have to think about that one now- Mary will tell you what a wimp I am!

Ooh, that reminds me as well, I've heard doors closing and kitchen cupboards closing before and thought it was Dave come home, then looked later when he didn't appear and he wasn't there!

NibbleitPattinsonakaNebilet said...

Oh no you don't lol, I'll perform an exorcism if needs be but you're stopping lol, its all good in there, it never bothers me now, I need to redecorate in there and its probably colder as there is a big bed in there and it blocks the radiator, I slept in there when me and my ex were living in same house but separate rooms....that was fun...not!

NibbleitPattinsonakaNebilet said...

Just have to say it must have been murder for our parents back in the day minus mobiles, I get cross when mine don't answer theres, I have all their friends in my phone now too. My phone is full of teens numbers bwahahaha...

Stan said...

ROFL at you doing an exorcism! I'll justcry then you can come and tell it to fuck off for scaring me ;o)

NibbleitPattinsonakaNebilet said...

Stan said...

Ok, more info than we needed really, Nibs, but thanks for keeping us informed ;o)

NibbleitPattinsonakaNebilet said...

'm baaaaack lol, actually been back ages, you doing that Remember Me review for tomorrow at all?

Jeanette said...

I've been sitting here for 20 minutes trying to figure out how I can link myself to Rob and I got nothing and I'm a little depressed. Let's move on.

2. When I'm in the shower I sing old Prince songs. Don't judge me 'kay.

3. If I could go back and redo something, I would be more outgoing and try more things. Not sure that's a very good answer but it's true.

4. About 12 years ago, while driving home to WV from camping in KY one weekend, a woman in a trench coat crossed the interstate in front of me. I could see right through her and she disappeared as soon as she was directly in front of me. I still get goosebumps thinking about it.

5. When I was 16 I came home 4 hours past curfew, drunk, lost my house key (and my panties but that's a different story) and broke a window to get in the house. I got grounded for 6 months.

Nessa Lomiva said...

Ok, I'm gonna answer first, and read Nibbles' and Stan's answers later.

1. Well, pretty much everyone knows how far apart from the Precious I am, but we didn't know each other back then Stoney, so this is probably the first time you're hearing this. I have a buddy at a Lost (tv show) forum, whose bff is Kellan Lutz' personal assistant and roommate. And the connection between Kellan and the Precious is obvious. This is how I got my personalized Kellan autograph.

2. My go-to shower song is This Mortal Coil's "Song to the Siren". The shower acoustics are amazing for this song, and I bet the neighbours hear me as well (I live in an apartment building), because I really let my voice loose.

3. It may sound corny, but I would most definitely love to relive my wedding day. Not only was it super fun and one of the happiest weddings anyone's ever been to (so I'm told), but every single one my friends, and every member of my family attended. Young and old, male and female, they all swayed their hips, clapped their hands and sang, which definitely made for a unique experience.

4. Well, if dreaming about talking my deceased grandmother talking to me the night before my grandfather was struck by a car and killed constitutes as a ghost encounter, then my answer is yes. :D

5. It may not have been the worst thing I did, but it broke my parents' hearts when they learned my bro and I smoked weed. To them, this was a drug, period. They reacted very badly, made a huuuuuge drama about it, and this was a really difficult time for our family, but we've surpassed it, and are now closer than ever. Funny thing is, my bro lives in Amsterdam now - you know, the junkie capital of the world. :D

Very cool questions Stoney. I super enjoyed answering each one.

Stan said...

@Nibbles, yep, good reminding! I'll go and put it in a word docand email out in case we want to add anything.

It's so nice sitting here just messing online, it feels like it's been sooo long!

Nessa Lomiva said...

LoL! It's so cool that both you, Nibbs and Stan, used me as your 6 degrees. Yes, I would gladly stop at Kellan, Stan, and sure, I'm already sharing, what's one more ho, sigh. :D

Yes, it feels like it's been ages. I did my hair. After two years, no more blond. I just realized now what I did: I pulled a fucking Bella. You'll see when I upload a photo. I have an actual photo of Kristen flashing before me when I look at myself in the mirror.

NibbleitPattinsonakaNebilet said...

It has been ages lol, what with illness and visitations & gallivanting across the country ; )

NibbleitPattinsonakaNebilet said...

Everyone is going brunette, Stan just did-oops have I given that away? I did say to her that, that doesn't mean she automattically gets the Precious. I went brunette years ago with loads of red through it, some people liked, it, I thought it was cool until I looked back at some pictures. So glad I went back to blonde again, dark hair makes me feel gloomy now. I am a blonde through and through!

Hey, Stoney, great qu's!! As always, writing, then reading...

1- My husband was in a play with the Key Grip from the first Twilight movie, who obviously had met all of the cast. So what's that, three? Two? I met him at opening night, although if I saw him again I'd probably have to say, "Hi, I'm [TH]'s wife whose eyes glazed over when you mentioned you worked on Twilight, remember me?"

2- God, I have a lot of these. In the car, I sing along with anything I know even a little bit of, so I won't list them for you. In the shower, it needs to be something I know all the words to, so lately it's been Dar Williams "What Do You Hear in These Sounds," Patty Griffin's "Long Drive Home," and Storm and the Balls' "Ladylike."

3 - Moment to redo... I wish I could say I didn't have one, but the one I'd like back most is from my honeymoon. TH and I went to Disneyworld (and then on a cruise of the Bahamas) and while we were there we went on a special "Sunrise Safari" where you basically go on the Animal Kingdom Kilimanjaro Safari ride before the park opens and your guide talks WAY more about behind the scenes animal care and whatnot and it takes MUCH longer to go through the trail than the ride, and you can ask questions and it's AWESOME and I recorded the whole thing on the camcorder... which later that afternoon got wet... and which TH couldn't leave alone until it was dry and kept pressing buttons randomly and ERASED EVERYTHING ON THE DISC. So I would go back to that day and NOT LET HIM FUCK WITH THE DAMN THING. It was fine once it dried out. I was super upset for the rest of the day. So I'd like to go back and avoid that snafu, please. I wouldn't change any major moments because they brought me here and here is pretty good, overall.

4- Ooohhh, ghosts give me the squeebies. I don't think I've ever really had a paranormal experience beyond the Ouija board stuff from when I was a kid. I don't get how that shit works, but it's creepy.

5- I feel so lame, but all I ever got in real trouble for was coming home late and not calling. Although sometimes I *had* called and she just hadn't checked the message, but whatever. Now, that's not the worst thing I *did*, just the worst I got in trouble for. ;)

Love the questions!! Off to read the other answers...

Morning lovelies...

What a resume Stoney has!!!

here I go

1) I know Twilove who got Peter Facinelli to sign my Avi who bit Robert Pattinson's neck. WOO HOO!

2) My go to song changes CONSTANTLY, for some reason I can't get freakin' Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" out of my head lately!

3) I would like to redo the day a certain boyfriend broke up with me and pretend like I DIDN'T care...because in hindsight my original reaction was a little "over the top". LOL!

4) My grandparents talk to me in my dreams all the time, so if you believe that they can visit in dreams, then I guess that counts. A heart ballon landed in my daughter's hand a few days after my Father in law died...out of NOWHERE. We were in our driveway, and all of a sudden there was a balloon infront of her. He loved my daughter TO DEATH (no pun intended)...I really think he sent it to her.

5) The worst trouble I would get in always revolved around coming home too late. Nothing major to report here. I had a pretty easy time with my parents.

Love you all desperately....
XOXOXOXOXO

Nessa Lomiva said...

@Mrs.P - love us all desperately? coooool! I filled puffy heart you.

I cannot believe both you and I have grandparents appearing to us in dreams. Creepy.

Oh, and what was your over the top reaction, do share. :D

Soxer said...

Ok so I'd better do this..or else Stoney might kill me..

Soooooooo........

1) Firstly, I dont have a six degrees. But this is the internet..so I can lie and no one will ever know (mwahahahahaha!!!)
So Im currently dating Mr. Poptarrts who is secretly a "secret" agent working for Summit's Uk and international affairs..so whenever a star from Twilight or any other Summit related movies come over.. Mr Poptarrts there, like a ninja, swooping them away safely from the paparazzi. Obviously he has met the precious..so I beat you in ONE Stoney.. HA!

2) My shower song is definitely Alone by Celine Dion. Stoney - You know I love to belt 'em out, no matter whose around, but this is one I dont really like to share with folks. I rock at it too. LOL

3) I know I should probably write here that I'd go back to school or that I'd not hurt someone that I have previously but..Im selfish so... I would like to go back and re-read all the twilight novels. Get that warm, unbelievable feeling of reading them for the first time. Sure, I could just read them now..but it wouldnt be as exciting or as new as the first time. Amazing.

4)Ive never had a ghostly encounter..so Im going to take the same approach that I took with question ONE...
I remember one night..a DARK and STORMY night... I was lying in bed..the wind blowing through my window, causing a chill in the air... I open my sleepy eyes and standing there, at the bottom of my bed, stood the ghost of Dobby from Harry Potter.
As I stared at him..he bowed. I merely blinked at him and told him to close the window. I believe my exact words were "Shut that window will ya? Its fucking cold in 'ere!"
Then I lay my head back down onto the pillow and smiled to myself as I fell asleep again..
..Fuck SPEW..I loved House Elfs..

5) Ive done ALOT to piss my parentals off. Asides from the whining and hitting I bring to them..or the jumping off bins and getting my teeth stuck in my knee..
I'd have to say the worst thing I ever did.. was... maybe getting so drunk one night when I was only 16 that I nearly set the house on fire trying to make crispy pancakes. My friend Jarrus and I totes got into her ouzo too..and then filled it back up with water. But thats ok..RIGHT?

SUPER DUPER AMAZIIZIZING QUESTIONS MY LOVER!
Stan..as always..its been a pleasure!

MWAHA!

Becky said...

1. I have nothing. But now thanks to Stoney I feel I am almost within touching distance lol.

2. Oh I love Glee!! I have the cd in my car, me and the kids sing loud, lol. Hubs goes mad!
I sing to everything, I have no shame! I like "Strong" by Robbie Williams, but I pretty much sing to anything.

3. When I was at College ( about 18/19 ) I found out my boyfriend, who I was madly in love with, had in fact kept seeing hs girlfriend at home all the time he had been seeing me! ( He moved from Liverpool to Coventry for college). When I found out I stupidly still wanted him and was all pathetic and told him I didn't care. I blame my lack of girlfirends at the time, for my inexusable behaviour! If I could go back I would tell him to fuck off and never give him another minute of my precious time! Not that I am still bitter or anything, lol.

I would also have saved more money before I had kids!

4. ooh me too, I love ghosts & shit. When I was about 8 we lived in this big old house, and the bedroom on the end of the house used to be cold, all the time, none of us ( I had 2 sisters) ever wanted to sleep in it on our own. One night I had just had a row with my older sis and decided that stomping upstairs in a huff was a good idea. The lights were off upstairs and when I got to the door of the end room, I swear that I saw a cowboy stood there in the doorway, hat, boots & everything. Needless to say I screamed and flew back down the

5. I was such a good girl growing up, lol. Either that or I never got caught, as I don't ever remember being in much trouble. Oh god, how boring am I!!

Awesome questions Stoney!

Becky said...

@Musing Bella I went to Disneyworld & then the Bahamas for my Hoemoon too! We also did the Sunrise Safari. We took sooo much film that I suspect my poor family wished I had deleted half of it, lol.

Oh it all depends on my mood. Yesterday it was Daniel merriweather cd in the car and today i had the radio on and was singing along to that

Change.
I'd change anything to do with my mom meeting my stepdad. he's a cunt.

Ghosties.
Just to let you know I have a tingly scalp whilst I type this lol
The first incident that came to mind was when jack was a couple of weeks old. I was in that state between sleep and waking up when I heard a female voice shout Jack. Mr mary stirred too but never woke up, when I turned over to look towards the crib I saw a female shape floating above the end of it. I knew it was Claire, my daughters friend who was killed in a road accident when I was pregnant with Jack. She was looking forward to me having him so I knew she'd come back to have a look :)I've had loaaadddss of ghostie witchy stuff happen, but it let me down badly a while ago so now I just ignore it

Grounded.
I was always fucking grounded thanks to the cunty stepdad

OMG I love the answers. You guys are fab. Yes my lovely @Poptarrts I would slay you...although then I would remember cupcake day and all would be forgiven.

Ok I suppose I should answer my own.

1. You already know. Dan is the bomb diggity. I ran into him around xmas two years ago back home and of course I looked like SHIT. Thankfully I was taking photographs (doing something artsy and not just looking like a slob) of a particularly awesome old door when I hear, "Jenn? Jenn!!!" Oy...hide me.

2. OH Glee..I heart it's face so hard.
Ok...I sing CONSTANTLY. If I'm not singing I'm whistling. You can give me a word and I can find a song with that word in the lyrics..so bad.
If I'm in a singy mood in my car though I usually go for Tom Petty, APC (b/c Maynard is my god), sadly enough... my voice was made to sing bluegrass. I'm not a country fan but I love me some bluegrass/roots rock. Jukebox blues...June Carter - My favorite. Sarah...no, I will not sing it for you on Skype. Nice try though.

3. I would NEVER have stayed with my ex for five years. I would go back, tell him to fuck off after the first time he cheated on me and saved SOOOOO much precious time.

4. Ah so love the Paranormal. I live right by Alton IL which is one of the most haunted cities in the US. We go there a lot for the Ghost/History tours. Love them. Only had a few creepy things happen on those tho.
Probably my most freaky ghost moments happened in a house I was renting with boyfriend while in college(see question #3) at the time. We were renting with another couple.
The first day we moved in my RM Tracie came running up the basement stairs saying that someone breathed in her ear when she was unloading supplies in the art studio.
Then one night Douchebag and I were laying in our room watching TV. I got up to go to the bathroom and he stood up shortly after I left the room and went the opposite way down the hallway to the kitchen. I said, "Where are you going?" And he turned around and looked like was going to pass out. He said, "I just saw you walk into the kitchen. I saw you walk past the door." Well he saw SOMEONE walk past the door but it wasn't ME!
Then same house, we were trying to go to sleep and it was probably about 2AM, Roomies were out. House...empty. I start hearing a woman humming in our bedroom. Just a little soft tune. Not very loud, it went on for several minutes. I feel Douchebag grab onto my arm and I realized that it wasn't in my head...he heard it too. Scared the piss out of me. Never did any harm though.

5. Ok, I was naughty in highschool but the moment that sticks out to me was the time that my brother, his friend, my friend and I all snuck out of the house at like...3AM with arm loads of toilet paper, forks, soap and a bulk bag of cherios...we walked about a mile to the house of this girl I HATED and we fucked shit up. Every tree covered, cheerios all over the driveway, soap on windows and car windows. And we forked the yard. (which means we stuck about 500 plastic forks in the ground pointy side up). So funny. We went back home and my mom was waiting for us. Ooops. GROUNDED.

Happy Friday ladies. I’m posting then reading…

1.We all know the game 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon right?
My mom is good friends with the mother of FINN jewelry design (we’ll call her Mrs FINN)
Mrs FINN’s daughter sold a piece of jewelry to Rob while he was shooting _Remember me_ (you can see him on the FINN website). The daughter admired a sweatshirt he wore to the studio. He gave her the sweatshirt (i seriously went all squee! in Mrs FINNs livingroom upon hearing this).
So I’m gonna say 4 degrees of separation from the precious (my mom, her friend, the friend’s daughter, the precious!)

2. your "go to" shower/car song is?
Hhmm, that’s a tough one, just about anything from the 80s will do.
I’ll pick Frankie Goes To Hollywood “RELAX”

3. If you could go back and redo one moment in your life what would it be and why?
College. I’d repeat college in a heartbeat. I was born and raised in a pretty homogeneous piss-ant town in upstate NY. No cultural activities (unless you count 4-h), no fun (only so much fun can be had in a one traffic light town), … can you say cow-tipping? Although we weren’t far from NYC – it’s not like I could just go there anytime. No matter how often I went to work w/ my mom in the city.. I couldn’t get enough of the hustle & bustle. Going away to college was the best thing I ever did. I had the best time of my life. (I’ve learned to appreciate my hometown- and visit a lot)

4. Have you ever had a ghostly encounter? If so..spill it.

No actually sightings- but definitely strange occurrences, sounds, hair standing on end etc.

5. What was the worst thing you ever did that got you in trouble with your Parentals?
I got caught smoking. Well not actually caught, my friend kept the pack of cigarettes instead of ditching them- her mom found them and called my mom… and my dad proceeded to light my tail. That’s the only time I recall getting a spanking-ever. (no- I don’t smoke)

1. How many people/acquaintances does it take to connect you to The Precious?

I would only know him through you Stoney and I only know you on the internet so I am pretty far away.

2. so what is your favorite American Idol-In-Your-Car audition song?

Closer to Fine by Indigo Girls.

3. If you could go back and redo one moment in your life what would it be and why? It doesn't matter if you want a do-over because you made a huge mistake and you would like it rectified...or if the moment was so amazing you would love to relive it one more time.

I would like to relive and then redo the same point in my life. Relive my time with an ex and redo the ending so that we didn't part ways. My time with him was amazing - he made me feel so amazing and I couldn't believe he wanted anything to do with me (sounds like a certain Bella I know) but he pursued me and won. I loved the person I was with him and I miss her so much. Then something changed and I am not even sure what it was but we parted ways as a couple. We still maintain limited contact through email but we are both married now. But I know if we weren't, we would try again for sure.

4. Have you ever had a ghostly encounter? If so..spill it.

Do animal ghosts count? While pet sitting once, the female dog passed away in her sleep. The next night as I was still pet sitting for the male dog, I could hear the female dog barking outside (she had a very distinct bark), when I looked out I only saw mist but I am sure it was her telling me she was ok where she was.

When I was younger I used to talk to alot of imaginary friends although as I got older I think I realized they weren't imaginary but probably ghosts that were around me. I lost this ability/connection as I got older. I would love to get it back though. I was VERY "metaphysical" as a child.

5. I got grounded a lot as a kid. Especially in High School. What was the worst thing you ever did that got you in trouble with your Parentals?

The worst thing ever, I actually didn't do but allowed to happen. I had a dinner party and the of age people brought wine and even though I told them no, they opened it and drank it. Only the of age people drank it but my Mom found wine stains on the floor (no idea how - no one was drunk at all or messy that I saw) and confronted me while I was waking up - I never even got a chance to tell her it happened before she was mad at me. I accepted it because she was right to be mad. I was grounded and no TV (the worst thing you could have taken away from me at the time).

One time I stayed out too late with my friend (after the street lights came on and we were 10 or something) and we lied that we are each other's houses to each other's parents. Coincidentally we were in the back yard of her house and we were just talking but for some reason we thought it would be better to lie (stupid 10 year olds). My parents took away TV then so I tortured them by listening to the Annie soundtrack EVERY night at least FOUR times a night performing EVERY song VERY LOUDLY. Oooo maybe I need to add "Tomorrow" to my #2 above ;)

Ok I went back and read everyone's and I have to add to my 6 degrees - I know Jelena and I know Mrs. P.

@ Becky and Stan "PMSL at you going on a Hoemoon" - I read Becky's comment and never noticed this until Stan pointed it out. I think I hurt myself laughing.

@ Stoney - I really liked the questions - very thought provoking and fun to think about (even the parental grounding stuff) :) mwah

1. Snarky and JJ tweet with Billy Burke, Jelly knows Dick (*snicker) and You know the dress designer guy....sadly no real life connections that I know of. I have one to Larry the Cable Guy, does that count...no? Oh well!

2. GOD I LOVE GLEE! I sing Can't fight this feeling, Bitch (meridith brooks) Defying Gravity (which is my ring tone) and Fallen Angel, Every Rose and Bittersweet (poison/Bret Michaels Band, because Bret is a God in my house)

3. I would NOT marry my first husband...Oh, I would still have our daughter because she is such a fab blessing, but I would not say "I will." that day, because I knew it was a mistake. There are about a thousand other things I would make better choices on in my life as well, but in the end I don't regret too much.

4. I WISH...I LOVE GHOST HUNTERS!

5. I helped my alcoholic friend run away one night and ended up like 2 hours away from home with a bunch of lowers I didn't know, babysitting this idiot under class guy who had basically stalked me all my childhood because he had a crush on me. (I didn't have fun on this particular expedition though I did meet a great guy who turned into my boyfriend for a year--in high school time that was a long time) When we got back into town the next morning, his parents called me and my friends parents and I got way busted! Grounded One Month...they still don't let me forget it either. If they only knew the things they didn't catch me doing...LOL

Good questions Stone!

1. How many people/acquaintances does it take to connect you to The Precious?

The Precious and I have a carnal knowledge of each other.

2. In honor of Glee coming back this month, I would like to know what your "go to" shower/car song is.

I always sing Cat Stevens songs - only the ones featured on the Harold and Maude soundtrack

3. If you could go back and redo one moment in your life what would it be and why?

I would redo my meeting with Christopher Moore and try not to act like such a complete doofus. I would also touch his beard. It took all my strength not to stroke that beard.

4. Have you ever had a ghostly encounter? If so..spill it.

The ghost of Butt-crack Santa haunts me nightly.

5. I got grounded a lot as a kid. Especially in High School. What was the worst thing you ever did that got you in trouble with your Parentals?

I was in a perpetual state of grounding as a teen. I covered the spectrum of typical teenaged misbehavior. I smoked, drank, ditched, cheated, snuck boys in the house, stayed out late, flunked out of college. Fortunately, I never got caught for the really bad stuff I did. Sorry Mom & Dad.

TigerlilyRose said...

@Daf...I have an ex boyfriend sort of like that too...though I wouldn't trade my husband for all the world, I miss that boyfriend the most, and we still see each other all the time with kids the same age and about a hundred other connections that happen in small communities. OH well, maybe when we are like 80 and widows we can be those cute little old people companions or something...LOL...I think it is MEGA COOL that you could hear and speak to ghosts when you were a kid...so awesome.

I forgot about Mrs P.'s connection...ooh! I know her too, YAY...five Online connections must equal one real life one, right?

@Mox...you crazy bitch, you crack me up! We could have gotten into some serious trouble together as teens, my parents would have hated you too, which makes it even BETTER! God knows they don't even know a fourth of the stuff I did!

*So can it be less than 6 degrees? Yah? Ok...I have met Jackson Rathbone, twice...& he knows RPattz...obviously. Doubt I need to explain how. ;)

2. In honor of Glee coming back this month, I would like to know what your "go to" shower/car song is. Most of us like to belt it when we think no one is listening...or if you are me you do it anyway and ignore dirty looks from your coworkers...so what is your favorite American Idol-In-Your-Car audition song?

*I don't have one particular song that I always belt out. I LOVE singing in the car, but it completely depends upon what I'm into at the time. Though I must mention Elusive S & I have "The Monkey Song" from 100 Monkeys down pat. We can even do the fancy rap part. Jealous? lmao!

3. If you could go back and redo one moment in your life what would it be and why? It doesn't matter if you want a do-over because you made a huge mistake and you would like it rectified...or if the moment was so amazing you would love to relive it one more time.

*This is completely un-original, but I want to re-read the Twilight saga for the first time. Like if someone could temporarily erase my memory of it...but when I'm done reading, I want my memory back. Why? Because who knows if I would have started this blog and met all of you had I read it now, rather than when I originally did.

*Never have, but I still believe!

5. I got grounded a lot as a kid. Especially in High School. What was the worst thing you ever did that got you in trouble with your Parentals?

*I was a good kid. Seriously. Ok, I totally had sex with my boyfriend senior year in my bedroom while my parents were down the hall. You could look out my window into the hallway (add on) to see if they were coming. Gross now that I think of it. But, I wasn't grounded very often.

Happy Friday Whores...it's my Sunday night. Feel bad for me. Whaaaa.

xoxo J

Redo #4 My cousin died in his sleep two years ago. We were close and I miss him dearly. He comes and talks to me in my dreams, I don't know if it is paranormal or psychological, but I truly believe in paranormal activity (and ET's and ALFs and UFOs and Vampires but those are another story)so I like to think that maybe he is talking to me in my dreams, when I need to hear his voice the most.

I love all the Paranormal stories you girls have...@itsjustme...do-do-do-do, awesome and gave me the chills, your lady crossing the road! SUCH a good question!!!

Dangrdafne said...

@TigerlilyRose - Now you are scaring me... the ex and I have a long standing deal for "when we are 80"!! I can't believe you just said that in your comment. As for trading my hubby, I might.

Anonymous said...

#1.- So upon reading the first question and finding myself not really caring very much about whether Rob and I are connected by any degrees, and knowinghow everyone feels about someone pussying out by "passing" on a question, I thought "maybe not this Friday..." But then I made it to the end of the question and you gave me an out! So, following your instructions to the letter, all I have to do is let you know the level of excitement I have that you have given me 6 degrees of Patzy. Not very. Not to sound like a douche or anything, but I figure any good relationsihp is built on trust and why would I want to lie to you?

#2. - Usually whatever is in my head at the moment and that certainly varies. Lately it has been Level 42's classic "Something About You." Don't know why...

#3. - Oooh. Hard one. Typically I just accept life's moments for what they are knowing that each experience has shaped me into who I am today and brought me to the place I am and I'm ok with that. Because if any of it was different, I might not be who/where I am now! But there was this one time, when I was a much younger man, that I think (now that I'm older and not so naive) that I actually had a pretty good shot of having a 3-some. I didn't capitalize at the time and have often wondered later in life if I knew what I knew now if I would have been able to pull it off. Every man's dream, you know. Obviously if I did it over again NOW there would be statuatory rape issues and other things I would prefer not to deal with... unless I would get to be the same age as I was then? Of course, then we would have the same naivete issues and this horrible cycle would repeat itself and I would find myself again, another 20 years later answering this same question on another blog in a parallel universe. That seems like a lot of work just to fuck 2 girls at the same time!

#4. - You know I had something weird happen last night as a matter of fact. As I was drifting off to sleep I felt something fall on me and it made me jerk wide awake. When I checked there was nothing there. Very weird.

#5. - I was pretty tame as a kid. Knew better how to work the system other than outright rebellion. Although there was this one night that I wanted to spend the night w/ my girlfriend and was pissed at my parents and snuck out. Ended up getting busted and broke mom's heart. Watching my mother sob over my lack of respect and the heartache it caused her was more painful than the grounding that ensued.

So there you have it. Pretty boring stuff. Now to read the interesting answers!

Answering first...reading later.

1) I sadly have no ties to the Precious except through you Stoney. Wait! If I can count my bloggy buddies then I guess I'm 2 degrees seperated...I follow Kelly @MydiscomRobulation and she follows me and she has met Rob!!! So I guess I'm fucking stoked now!!!
Here I come baby...

2) I sing Sia whilst I shower...alot!! I fancy myself a semi-decent vocalist and I try to emulate her bluesy powerhouse of a voice. I said I TRY! My faves to sing of hers are "Breathe me", "Death by chocolate", and a tune she collabs with Zero7 on called "Destiny".
I also really like to belt out Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek".

3) I would go back and relive the night that I got to see Tori Amos front and fucking center!!! She was less than 10 feet away from me for over 2 hours. I could see her fingers running over the keys, and spittle flying from her lips as she sang. IT WAS AMAZING!!!
The best part about it was that it was a total fucking surprise!
I used to be friends with the son of the CEO of Best Buy, and he would always get event tix through his dad. He was a Tori fan and asked me if I wanted to go. We got our tix at the 'Will Call' booth and then ushers kept directing us closer and closer to the stage...closer and closer...I started to get crazy excited...closer and closer...and then we couldn't get any closer. There was the stage. It was 3 feet away from me. Our seats were directly center. I was beyond beyond shitting my pants! Best Day Ever. ~sigh~

4) We had a poltergiest in one of my houses as a kid. Contrary to the movies Poltergiests are not violent or harmful spirits. The worst this particular entity ever did was open and close doors and sometimes objects wouldn't be where you last put them. One morning my mom woke up and came into the kitchen to see all the cupbord doors open and the pots and pans were all over the place. We didn't live there very long.

I made the horrible mistake of mentioning this to a girl I went to school with (jr. high) and she told someone else who told someone else etc...and the next thing I knew I was getting voraciously picked on by all the popular kids, and they called me 'Tangina' for the rest of the year. :(

5) Oh man you are really invoking some painful childhood memories!!! Gah.
When I was 13 I snuck out of the house, but I had to bring my little sister with me, because we shared a room and she threatened to tell on me unless she could tag along.
Long story short we ended up getting brought home by the police around 3am. I have never seen my mom so crazy mad!
I got grounded for a month and mom took my door off the hinges for the entire summer, so I couldn't have any privacy. She was a genius! She also used to torture me by punishing me in creative ways, such as taking one of my favorite shoes and confiscating it...but leaving the other one, so I would drive myself batty looking for it. Or taking part of my phone away (before cells obvs, and I had my own line as a teen) like leaving the base, but taking the reciever. She was wicked. I miss her.

Kickass Q's Stoney!
I miss all you guys...I'm trynna catch up on everything I've missed for the past few days!

xoxo

Hey ladies! I'm late to the party as usual, but I'm here.

Excellent questions, Stoney!!! These are so great and I can't wait to read all your answers. But as usual, here are mine first:

1. 6 Degrees of RPattz

JJ & STY (1) met PFach and KLutz (2) who know RPattz (3)

YES!!! 3 Fucking degrees baby!

2. Go-to song.

It's going to sound weird, but I always find myself liking the way I sound when I sing "On My Own" from Les Miserables. So I sing it a lot in the shower. In the car, I sing whatever's playing on the stereo.

3. Reliving a Moment

I would never change anything about my past, but I would TOTALLY relive a great moment. I think it would be a night that I got to rock my daughter when she was a baby and then got to watch her sleep, and after putting her in her crib I had amazing sex with my hubby.

4. Ghostly Encounters

I, too, am into the paranormal stuff. I'm pretty attuned to it. I'm a pretty intuitive person, in general as well. I've had a few of my own experiences with ghosts and one UFO encounter. Mostly I can "feel" a presence or energy. I can't commuicate or identify - I just know there's something is there.

5. Big Trouble

This is an easy one. The summer before my 9th grade year, I met my friend's older brother (I was 14 and he was 16) and we started to hang out all the time as a huge group. Well - I started drinking and quickly developed a bit of a habit for it. I lied all summer long about where I was going and who I would be with and just went down to the Mississippi River and boozed it up.

The last Saturday night before I began high school (9th grade), I partied like a fucking rock star! I came home fall-down-stupid drunk and I just remember my mom standing over me as I puked into the toilet yelling, "Was it worth it?! Is this FUN?!"

After that - I "lost their trust" and had to give out all kinds of information before I was able to go anywhere. They would call the parents to make sure they'd be home. It was humiliating.

Okay - I'm off to read all the hil-fucking-arious answers of my favorite hobags! Mwah!

Late to the party again.

1. Degrees of separation. I'm friends with Jelena on Facebook & on Blogs. She is friends with Dick who knows Kellan. mmmmm Kellan's Dick. where was I????? Oh right. I think Kellan has made a movie or something with the Precious.

2. Go to song. I know this sounds strange, but my go to song when I need a pick me up is Supermassive Black Hole. One time at work I was really ticked at a co-worker so I just got out my I-pod & blasted Supermassive Black Hole. Later learned that someone in a nearby cubicle was asking who was playing music & couldn't they use earbuds? I was, but the music was LOUD.

3. I wouldn't go back and change anything because even my mistakes helped make me who I am now. Maybe would go back and relive the sex during the honeymoon part of this marriage. Took me 3 times to get it right & the honeymoon lasted at least 6 years.

4. Paranormal. Well, I'm not too familiar with anything that has "normal" as part of it. One time a couple of co-workers were out dancing at an old hotel that is supposed to be haunted. When they shared pics the next day, you could see faint images of people that weren't there.

5. Grounding? Never got into much trouble as a teen. Was more of the quite, nerdy type. Didn't bust loose until I went away to college and learned about boys & beer. Those were the days.

I'm supposed to be putting in some xtra time with work tonight but I'm procrastinating here!

1. Just the other night I met and spoke with the "I'm with the band" guy to 100 Monkeys-->Jackson R.-> Rob.

(there should be a website where you just throw in starting and ending celebrities and it does this computing for you, like 6 degrees mapquest.)

2. Currently Weezer's "the sweater song" and I think of Rob in sweater from VF shoot singing to me. "Watch me unravel, I'll soon be naked, lying on the floor, lying on the floor!"

3. I would relive so many moments to capture the overwhelming feelings I had in that moment that you can't reproduce on demand. Pride with college graduation, happiness on my wedding day, tranquility with holding my baby. But I love those moments at concerts where everyone is singing all the words in drunken unison and you can almost trick yourself for like a minute to think "wow, we've achieved world peace."

4. I've had dreams with deceased relatives/friends. But my friend's story is the best! She lost some money but had no idea how or where and she was really upset over it so she talked to her deceased husband about it. When she went to bed that night she pulled back the sheets and the money was there on his side. I. Kid. You. NOT!

5. My parents grounded me for 1 day when I was in second grade because I threatened to run away from home. That was the first and last time I was grounded because from there on out I guess I was pretty sneaky! LOL Before I was 18, my dad worked the 4-12 shift and I used to make sure I was home 10 minutes before he got home but had to pray that he didn't suddenly think to put his hand on my car hood as he walked by it and feel that it was still warm. A LOT was revealed at my 30th birthday party.

my v/w is unsay Maybe I should delete my answers?

Dangrdafne said...

@TT 6 degrees mapquest!!! LOL LOVE IT! I would definitely use that. I totally agree with the concert point too. I saw U2 last year in DC and it was amazing to watch thousands of people all moving to the same sounds and reveling in the same power. I would just look around and tell my hubby to look at it all. Quite amazing.

Stoney - good questions and I'm just going to answer b/c I can't go through all 50 comments guys!

1) I'm from Vancouver and in a previous post detailed my Twilight encounters during filming. So I am good family friends with a stuntman who trained Rob for his Eclipse fight scenes in Vancouver. Is that close enough?

2) I am a perpetual shower singer and the song keeps changing. It would have to be "thank you for the music" by ABBA - the Mamma Mia movie version.

3) By mistake, I just scrolled past TLR's answer to this and I can't really top that! I would say I would relive the time that I had my latest Rob dream a few weeks ago while in Hong Kong - over and over again but not waking up :) I haven't posted it yet to my blog or Mrs. P but I will eventually.

4) You are giving me chills with these questions. Yikes! I can say that I've had a few dreams with deceased friends where I am talking to them and tell me that they are doing okay. I either wake up crying or feeling surprisingly at peace. Okay, enough of that stuff - it gives me the willies.
5) I didn't get grounded much - too much of a goody two shoes. Once when I was 15 my parents called home and told my grandma that I wasn't allowed to leave the house and go see my boyfriend at the time (he was 17 and thinking about it now it was kind of illegal) but I just left anyways and was off on the bus to meet him. I don't remember what happened after that. Honestly worries me I didn't get into very much trouble as a child. I think I'm in for it with my kids - expectations for behaviour are just too high.

And yes, I was anal enough to go through ALL the old FFF questions and send Stan a list!

5)

Nice job, Mr Pantz!!

@Becky - we had the same honeymoons! Awesome!
@Jayla - it ended up being the second biggest fight we've ever had which sucked cause it was on our honeymoon, but is pretty great because it wasn't that bad, relatively speaking. And I'm over it - I just wish I would have paid more actual attention than focused on videotaping. :(

Everyone's ghost stories squeeb me out. I'm going to have nightmares now...
