Hello, hello, luvverly ho's, it's Friday again and time for the FFF. Moxie has chosen Starlitviolets as last weeks winner so I shall hand over to her momentarily. I go off on my jollies tomorrow for 2 weeks so I will check in via the twi group on my mobile but I won't be able to do much else. Damn, won't it be quiet without me?! Anyhoore as i usually do I look for pictures that represent the winner or winners name, Starlitviolets was quite hard....it kept giving me pictures of nail polish and lip gloss lol but I persevered!
Starlitviolets
Round 3, bitches! For some odd reason, I've now been chosen for a three-peat, and I couldn't be more excited! Thanks, Mox! So gear up those dirty little minds of yours and tell me what I want to know... Yes Miss, blimey, has she been getting lessons from 50?!
Couldn't resist captioning this one for Lisa
1. Do you believe in ghosts? If yes, have you ever had any ghostly encounters? whoooOOOOooo
Ghostbusters was never like this!
2. If you could exist during a past time period, when would it be? Why? I always said I was born too late, mind you if I'd have lived as an adult in that time period I'd probably be dead now and miss all this!
3. Have you ever dreamed something that actually came true? What was it?
4. Will the world end in 2012?
I bloody hope it doesn't cos I wanna come back to Florida in 2012, I will be severely pissed off!
5. Are we the only sentient beings in our universe?
I always had a feeling about Tom!
Wow SLV, major questions!!! Thinking caps ladies, SLV can you pick the winner over the weekend and email the name to Stan please, you can also post it on the blog too if you want. I can't believe I will miss 2 FFF's, I can't stand it!

I'm going first wheeee I have too much to do today!
1)Ghosts-Yes I believe in them, I had one in the house we're in now. Not sure if she is still here though. When my 1st son was about 18m-2 yrs old he wouldn't sleep through in his room, after several nights of no sleep I was at my wits end, he kept crying and crying, I asked him why and he said the old lady kept pinching him. So I asked where she was and he pointed to the corner of the ceiling. I was so tired and mad I shouted why the fuck are you hurting him, he's only a baby, now go away and leave us alone and to that day she hasn't bothered us again. Although it is always cold in that room. My son Tom is moving into that room as he wants a bedroom of his own so we'll see what happens!
2)Living in the past-Oh man I love the hippy era and the music, all the free festivals. In some ways I wish I could be 16-17 during the hey day, so I could go meet the bands, hang with Zep and the Stones and just immerse myself in the music. But I'm glad I was born when I was cos I have enjoyed doing my band reviews and living through the grunge era of music and meeting those bands was bloody amazing. I loved the 80'sd and 90's but still hanker for the total change that happened in the 60's!
3)Dream come true-Mmmm I don't think so unless dreaming of divorcing my ex husband counts lol. I dream of shagging Rob, Alex Skarsgard and Tom Hardy but alas I can't see that coming true...sigh
4)World ending in 2012- I don't think so, it was gonna end in 1984 and in the year 2000 and we're still here. Also I plan on coming back to Florida in 2012 so I will be beyond pissed off if that happens!!
5) Only sentient beings in the universe? Hmmm again I think not. To believe that the cataclysmic events (big bang) that happened to form our world and the start of life would be naive really. The universe appears infinite and their are galaxies within galaxies and so on. I think there are other beings out there. How kind they are who knows. Whether they are here now, I dunno. But I doubt we will be thankful to see them. No doubt we and I don't mean us individually but as a race (the majority) we will treat them with suspicion, hostility and fear. The same as if Jesus suddenly appeared, I bet he's be back up on the cross (figuratively speaking) before we could say ooo water to wine! Do I sound jaded...yeah I guess I do, my faith in mankinds kindness is only upheld by the ho's I have met on here who have shown warmth, compassion and generosity beyond measure. Love you all!
Woah, you brought out a lot in me today SLV. Gotta go do car stuff and get other stuff done. I don't pack till the day I leave on holiday lol, laters you ho bags xxx
My speeling is crap when my mind workd faster than my sausage fingers!!
These are really hard questions.
1. I don't believe in ghosts, but I do believe that some kind of energy can linger behind a person, and inhabit the spaces the person has inhabited before death.
2. Definitely 60s in the US. I'm a modern day flower child, and from what I've heard 60s and early 70s were such a carefree period, where anything seemed possible. I feel really bad that our age is not more optimistic. Guess that's why I'm hung up on Twilight so much - reading blogs and fan fiction beats CNN and CBC. :D
3. My dreams are usually a reflection of reality, whether literally or symbolically. There are a few of us in my family who possess a certain sixth sense.
4. No.
5. I can't answer that question, but it seems ludicrous to think that our planet is the only one that hosts intelligent life form.
Hiya ladies- so glad to be back. SLV neat-o questions. I will post and come back and read.
1. Do you believe in ghosts? If yes, have you ever had any ghostly encounters?
Yes I believe in ghosts. I don’t have any encounters that I recall, but my mother insists that I used to talk to my great-grandmother when I was 2.
2. If you could exist during a past time period, when would it be? Why?
I think I would have like to be in my late teens or early 20s to experience the true essence of the 60s and 70s. America experienced so many changes and made so many milestones (Free Love, the March on Washington) during those decades.
3. Have you ever dreamed something that actually came true? What was it?
Yes, when I was young I’d frequently experience déjà vu. The one incident that stands out happened while I was in college. I dreamt about making out with the yearbook photo editor and the next day while helping him in the dark room (which had never happened before since I was on the layout staff) my dream came true. I should have stopped with the making out- things progressed and I had to put a stop to that…he was engaged at the time. Oh yea, he married her. I ran into him a year ago- he’s divorced and he decided to come out of the closet (mortified much?).
4. Will the world end in 2012?
Oh my- that would really suck if that happened….but I doubt it.
5. Are we the only sentient beings in our universe?
Heck no. It would be an awful waste of space if we were the only ones around. Plus I’m one of those (un)fortunate people to actually see an UFO… not an experience one can forget (oh how I’ve tried!). And no- not crazy my dad and brother were there too.
@Nibbles you will be missed !
1) Ghosts: Yes and No. If I were to believe in ghosts I would freak out every time I was alone so I tell myself they aren't real.
2) Living in the Past: I'd like to live in the 30s or 50s. I just love the way people dressed and the music. But most likely the 50s for TV LOL.
3) Dreams: My dreams used to really happen when I was a kid.. but I think I would know what was going to happen the next day and then project that in my dreams so it would feel like it happened in my dream before.
4) World ending in 2012: I hope not. It can as long as I have seen the final installment of Breaking Dawn :)
5) Aliens: Yes and No see #1. But I really think I saw a UFO when I was a kid.. but I think it could have been product of an overactive imagination and too much of the TV show Unsolved Mysteries.
@Jayla-thanks! Hi to Kassie, glad you have decided to return, hope you continue to do so. I kinda can answer the fff if someone emails me the questions and I email them back (hint, hint) or if I win I can set them by emailing said questions lol, whatevs!
Thanks, Jayla, for emailing me and telling me about the Fifty reference for today’s FFF questions. This makes twice in one week, Nibbles, that you got me to log on to Edbrella at work. *skips off to the red room* Oh, crap. I have some heavy thinking to do before I can do some heavy breathing, don’t I?
SV, you’re making my old brain work too hard ;)
1. Do you believe in ghosts? If yes, have you ever had any ghostly encounters?
I have been known to sing, “Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!” from time to time, but can’t say that I actually believe in ghosts. I’ve had a few encounters with the debil, though. Just sayin'.
2. If you could exist during a past time period, when would it be? Why?
Does the 70s count? I had some great sex in the 70s. No? Ok. *taps chin* Well, before my Robsanity set in, I used to read a lot of historical romance novels. I've always been drawn to Vikings and knights. My favorite book is even a time travel (A Knight in Shining Armour by Jude Devereaux). I’ve always wanted to visit Ireland and/or Scotland. But no indoor plumbing is a deal breaker for me. I know! I would like to exist during the 50s, when Elvis was King, the Beatles were invading, and black and white was cool.
3. Have you ever dreamed something that actually came true? What was it?
No, damn it. Way to put a buzz kill on my 50s fantasy.
4. Will the world end in 2012?
My world will, yes. I plan on traveling to California for the premiere of Breaking Dawn or More Breaking Dawn *snickers* and tagging along with Twilove1 and her group. Once I am within yelling distance of Rob, my heart will SPLODE. I hope you remember me fondly if you remember me at all.
5. Are we the only sentient beings in our universe?
*off to Google sentient*
I'm back. *off to reread the definition of sentient again*
I'm back. I got nothin' for number five. Can I have another question?
And I should have added a "ka-ching!" to my time period question ;)
Oooh, these are different, SLV. I can't believe you're trying to make me think on a Friday, damn you...
1. Do I believe in ghosts?
Yes. I only have vague memories of this, but when I was very young, maybe 3, I used to see a woman crying at the end of my bed. Mom eventually told me to smile at her instead of screaming and crying and the woman smiled back at me and I never saw her again. I haven't seen any ghosts since but my current house has a poltergeist that throws things around the kitchen every now and again and my bedroom is always colder than a witch's snatch no matter what I try to do with the heating.
2. Ooh, this is a toughie. Despite my fondness for indoor plumbing, I'm gonna go with ancient Egypt, cos I've always been fascinated by it. Wait, does Middle Earth count? How about long ago in a galaxy far, far away? :)
3. Yes. My dreams usually make no fucking sense but a few years ago I dreamed that my sister's boyfriend of five years was gonna dump her, and when I woke up, I just had this feeling that it was going to come true. And it did, a couple of weeks later. That's the most clear premonition I've ever had, but sometimes I get little flashes of deja vu.
4. Will the world end in 2012? No. It didn't end in 1984, it didn't end in 2000, it's not gonna end in 2012.
5. I think it's possible there's sentient life out there. If our planet accidentally became perfect for supporting life I think there's a chance that the same thing could happen elsewhere in the universe.
@SV - It pays to answer the extra credit questions ;)
@Lisa - FUCKING hell! Your answers cracked me up. "encounters with the debil" LMAO
1) I have never encountered a ghost but I'm fascinated by them. Before I die, I will spend the night in a haunted house.
2) If I could exist in a past time period it would be the late 50's early 60's so I could find Ricky Nelson and bang the wholesome out of him.
3) I dreamt that RPattz ran me over with his car and then sat at my bedside because he felt so guilty about it. I'm not sure if I'd want that one to come true. On one hand, Rob is sitting at my bedside! I'm breathing the same air as him. If I wasn't in a full body cast I could totally reach over and touch his junk. On the other hand, I got ran over.
4) There had better be colonies on the moon by 2012. I was promised in 1978 that there'd be colonies on the moon by the year 2000 and I'm still waiting.
Hold on. I'm turning 40 in 2012. Yep, the world is gonna end.
5) I think it's extremely arrogant to think we're alone in the universe. That being said....my answer is "yes".
@Nibbles- I'm glad to come back... it really makes me think.
@Mox- I think it would be cool to be run over by Rob.. I'd take the pain for the opportunity to touch his junk too. Once I was almost run over by a guy from the Chicago Cubs :) I crossed the street without looking after a game and he came flying out of no where and I just stood in the street staring at him like a tool LOL.
1. Do I beleive in ghosts? Yes I do, although I've never had an encounter that I know of.
2.Live in a different time period? Nope. I like having the convenience of modern medicine and modern technology. Too many diseases back in the day could kill you and it took forever to get in touch with someone. I like having things like the flu shot and the internet. I wouldn't even want to go back to the 50's or 60's - too many racial issues in the US back then.
3. Dream come true? No, I'm not cool like that. I haven't even ever had a dream about some being pregnant and then they announce they are.
4. World ending in 2012? Nope. We have to live through this crap for a bit longer.
5. Aliens? Hell YES! I so don't think we're the only ones here. Too much wasted space if we are.
Hey I know that ghost picture! It's from Placebo album. The one with Bitter End on it I think. Love that song.
@Kassie and Mox: I almost got run over by a limo once. Makes you wonder if I was almost killed by someone famous...My friend decided to point and laugh at me for being a dozy cow, then she almost got run over by a bus later the same day. Ah, karma. At least I almost went out in style ;)
Hello!!! I'm back from my hols at last, but more about that another day :o). Ok, I've not answered the FFF for weeks, so about time I did I think. Not read the other answers yet, so here goes...
1. Do you believe in ghosts? If yes, have you ever had any ghostly encounters?
Yes I do believe. I've not had any encounters that I could say were ghostly without doubt, but I've had a few odd things happen. Just things like thinking I've heard Mr Stan in the house and then found out he wasn't home yet, the water cooler bubbling on its own at work, strange feelings in rooms, that sort of thing. Oh, I did feel my cousin's presence after he was killed, I was positive it was him, but I couldn't say how I knew.
Mary will tell you, I love spooky stuff, but also scare myself to death over it lol!
2. If you could exist during a past time period, when would it be? Why?
I used to be fascinated by the Second World War era, although I'd be mad to choose to live then because I can't even imagine how hard that must have been for people. Also the 60's, gangland London and all that scene is something else that used to interest me.
3. Have you ever dreamed something that actually came true? What was it?
Not like in a predictive sense, but I have had de ja vu about things that I remember dreaming about. Nothing that I can specifically remember, just snapshots that matched up.
4. Will the world end in 2012?
I really hope not, I want to see my kids grow up. I don't think there's any more reason to believe it will than for when we've thought it would happen before.
5. Are we the only sentient beings in our universe?
I doubt it, space is so huge that there's got to be other beings out there. Whether they've already discovered us and are already watching us is another thing altogether!!
Phew SV, those were heavy going lol!
Ok, off to read the other answers :o) xx

1) Yes...it's my only plan to get even with Lisa one day.
2) I would live in the 1800's so I could wear the big poofy dresses. I'm a sucker for the Civil War era...
3) Constantly. I have dreamt of conversations and events and then saw them happen.
4) of course not. I'm not done with it yet...
5) I don't think so. Somewhere out there exists another sun with a planet the right distance from it.
Hello Whoreflaps!!!
I'm late to my own party! Thanks for taking care of the place, Nibs! The pics are SWEET!!!
I'll answer my own questions, then read your answers in search of my next victim, er - I mean winner. :P
1. Ghosts.
I believe. I've encountered a kind spirit in my best friend's grandparent's house when I was a teenager. She would turn on faucets, play with an old-fashioned crank telephone that wasn't connected, but she would make ring, and she even woke her grandpa up one morning when he'd fallen asleep in the basement and had a meeting in the morning.
I've also "felt" the presence of a not-so-nice spirit in a house we lived in just over 5 years ago. It was strongest in our living room, in a certain corner. Freaked me out when Mr. SV had to work nights and I was alone with a 3 yr. old Mini.
2. Living in the Past
I'd like to live in the 1930s or medieval England.
3. Dreams Come True
YES!!! I do this about the most trivial things too! I will dream an ordinary scene and then a few weeks or months later, it will actually play out. Sometimes I let it unfold and other times I change the circumstances on purpose to see how differently it turns out. Unfortunately, I tend not to dream about the big things.
4. 2012
No way! I get that the Mayan calendar predicts bad things unless we reunite the Crystal Skulls, but REALLY! To me, it's just like Y2K - fluff. It's just another reason for human beings to become worried about nothing.
Besides - if it all comes to an end, I'm okay with that. :)
5. Aliens
Nibs - LMFAO @ Alien-Tom!!!
To me, it would seem quite arrogant of us to assume we're alone. So I definitely believe in the possibility of intelligent life beyond our planet. However, I'm not sure we'll ever develop the technology to find them. They could exist on the edge of the universe. Of course, you never know...
Thanks again, Nibbles! Great job on the photos!
Now I'm off to read and try to choose.
I pick..............
17foreverlisa!!!
I MUST pick her for making me LMAO at "googling sentient"!!!!!
MWAH!!!!
Yay! Congrats Lisa! Looking forward to reading your questions...I think ;o)
