Are you protecting your Eclipse Twymen?

After all the New Moon trailers, clips and spoilers, I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed when it came to actually seeing the film that I'd let myself become such a spoiler whore.  I did try blocking everything out for the last couple of weeks before the film opened, but what can I say?  I've always been the kid that went looking for her Christmas presents, even unwrapped them before now so I should have known there was no chance.

Ooh, Kellan, fancy finding you in here, I was just looking for my pressies.  Can I unwrap you instead? ;o)

Despite that I still decided that I'd be an Eclipse virgin.  Until this morning when I got up and saw that the script had been leaked.

Apart from the obvious - WTF Scummit?  That's every film this seems to happen to you with - my next thought was, of course 'need it'.  Of course, what I absolutely didn't do then was go and find it, download it, email it to my besties and start to read it, because I worry that that might be a bit illegal and I'm not risking that.

So, what about you Ho's?  Did you look for it?  Will you look for it?  Will you read it?  (All theoretically of course) or is it a huge no-no for you?

Talk to us in the comments below, I know you love to!  Ok, need to go back and put purrty piccies in now :o)

I have it, but I'm not reading it.
It's one of those kinda things, you want it badly to say you have it when you're not going to do anything with it
It's sitting on my computer going "READ ME!" and I'm like "NAAAW!"
My reason for this? I'm going to be pure when I finally venture to LA and finally see it for the first time. No spoilers, no nothing :P

Awww, I'm so jealous of you going to LA to see it. And I admire your strength, I have no willpower. Hmph.

I have not looked at it. While I'd like to think I'll keep my Eclipse chastity belt secured, there is a possibility I'll fall weak the the iron panties will drop. *palms face* Try as I might, I know I will crack before Eclipse comes out. Oh yeah, I was one of those kids that opened and rewrapped her Christmas gifts too. *blushes*

Did that happen today then, missed that bit of news! I am going to try an avoid the millions of trailers and any other spoilers. I agree with @Stan, I think the film was a little ruined by having seen half of it in clips already!
That said, not sure how I will resist, its just so tempting..

I got as far as the page where i had to "click to download", but I chickened out b/c I feared it was riddled with some sort of virus. LOLOL! But I was there...so close.

I really want to try and avoid the spoilers but I know I'll no doubt cave in *tut*

Ssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! I do love em but I don't want to!!! If someone didn't encourage me, it might be easier to be a good girl, just sayin ;)

I'm going to try to be a non spoiler whore this time around. I wasn't too bad last time...as Twitarded says, I played a lot of "just the tip"...but this time I wanna keep it real.

I'm going to agree with shiny volvo owner and say that I totally want the script just to say that I have it, but I don't want to read it! Then Mrs. P brings up a great point with the whole virus thing. My computer is locked down tighter than Fort Knox due to my crazy big bro who may or may not work in a prestigious level of the government and specialize in computers. I don't think I could download it if I tried! So, this is me "WINKING"!

As far as my Twymen, I'm planning to keep it until marriage! My question though is.....how do you avoid trailers on TV? Do those count as twymen breakers. Do I just quickly turn the channel or close my eyes and assume the ear muff position? This is going to be harder than I thought!!!

Too late. I am no longer "master of my domain" (throwing my $ on the table). I'm a ruined lady. It was worth it.

Love the Chimpsten scene, love the KLutz!!!

I've missed this! (and now have a lot of stuff to catch up on!)

I'm going cold turkey this time 'round. I'll watch the trailers they show on TV, or that premiere on the awards shows, but, I think that's it.

I've read scripts and or recaps of stuff before I've watched it before, and it really takes so much out of it to know what's ahead. And, for me at least, some things are a disappointment when I see them. I had an idea when I was reading of how it should be done, but, was let down by how they did do it.

I know that technically we already *know* all of what's going to happen, but, it's not the same to know what will happen in the books.

I have a suspicion that they release scripts in the last stages of post production so they can get a feel for what the fanbase thinks of it and tweak a few things before they finish it ...

Snarkier Than You said...

I heard about it. I didn't look for it. I think it would totally ruin the movie (real script or fake - although it seems to be the real deal). It is available; I am not reading it. People can do what they want but based on my past Twi experience, I think the movie will be better for me without that info going into it.

And I LOVE LOVE that picture with the tent scene!! lol...

@Mrs. P @TwiBite - You are such a tease! I was doing fine, holding strong, I don't need no stinkin' script, blah, blah, blah, until you have the balls to say 'it was worth it'. Now I need the deets! I am rereading Eclipse right now, and trying to convince myself it will be enough until the movie comes out.

@TwiNabler - I have a special technique for avoiding trailers on tv: Turn your back to the screen and start singing the Star Spangled Banner as loud as you can, up until about the glaring red rockets. Believe me, it works every time.

Nope. Not reading it. This Twi-hoors "Eclips" Twymen will remain intact. If I cave I can get it from my peeps...but I plan on attending the "Eclipse" premier with flowers in my hair and wearing virginal white dammit!

Please disregard all my freaking typos I am trying to comment on the sly while at my place of employment. uggh.

haha, that made me think of Alice's "Vampire Bella" vision ... maybe I will also dress up as Vamp Bella for the [strike]wedding[/strike] Eclipse premiere ...

Just found this
A Twilight star has landed himself in hot water after his script for the next instalment of the blockbuster franchise was leaked onto the internet.

Jackson Rathbone, who plays Jasper in the hugely successful films, is sure to be feeling red faced after his copy of Eclipse found its way onto the net. The script, which has Rathbone's name emblazoned all over it, is in blue - which means it's an early version of the script and is over 110 pages long, reports The Examiner.

SPOILER ALERT. The first scene sees the introduction of Bryce Dallas Howard as the evil bloodsucker Victoria and her attempts to turn a young man into a vampire.

Summit Entertainment has so far refused to comment on the leak.

It's not the first time Summit have had script leaks with the franchise. A copy of the New Moon script was found in the bin outside a beauty salon early last year.

Buzz Up!

This is off topic, but you have got to wander over to TwiSoup and see what they've done with their Real Twilight Genius commercials. I can't stop laughing!

@Z Any Mouse hahahah I just wandered over there, am still giggling and singing "Mr. Edward Cullen Abdominal Air Brusher Onner..." to myself

I hate it that I can't come out and play today. Meetings, projects, actual work . . . geez, you'd think these people pay me to be here or something.

I keep telling myself that I'm going to be spoiler free for Eclipse other than the official trailers, and I hope I can stay strong. Watching the birthday kiss and break-up scenes leaked online actually made my stomach hurt (one in a good way - scratch that - a VERY good way, and the other one not so much). It would have had more of an emotional impact on the big screen and in the context of the entire movie. Having said that, I may or may not have already asked Mrs. P to share. *wink*

@Stan - Loved all of the pictures. Can't wait for the Chimpsten TwiBite Challenge!! Wet Kellan is always a win. But two pics of Jawporn Rob? *twitches*

Later Twi-Hos!

Lisa

P.S.: Jelena, still thinking of you and hoping all is going as well as can be expected with your grandmother.

I love how Z hijacked the comments to pimp Real Twilight Genius...That totally roxors my boxors.

TNabs...I am LMFAO at "assume earmuff position". I totally don't think trailers are hymen breaking. Those are the blow jobs...oral sex is not REAL sex right? Or is that too close to "just the tip?"

Spoiler free for me. Although I have seen some of the Eclipse tent pics with Chimpsten. Do those count? LOL
