WOW - DangrDafne picked some questions to actually make us think this week!! Doesn't she know how long it takes our dirty minds to switch off everything that we can't answer with a Twilight/RPattz response? :)

I'll take another shot at these!

1) Do you have a vacation you take or have taken every year (or often)? Where do/did you go?

We have taken our youngest to NH to Santa's Village (a year around Christmas theme park) and Storyland (a story book theme park) every Memorial Day weekend for the the past 4 years. He has informed us he's to "old" for the baby stuff anymore so we need to find a new annual trip somewhere.

2) What is your current occupation/job? Why? Do you like it?

My title is Customer Service Manager at a trucking company, which relates to finding freight to put on the approximately 125 tractor trailer trucks and keep them moving 7 days a week. Do I like it? Most of time I really do but on the obscenely chaotic days, I'd like to burn the place down!

3) What is on your bedside table?

Thank god you didn't ask what's in the nightstand drawer!! LOL!! On the table is a lamp, my wedding picture, alarm clock, my glasses and a stack of books!

4) What would be the title of your Biography?

"Third time's a charm"

5) If you could have personally witnessed one event in history, what would you want to have seen?

I would have liked to seen the American Revolution.

Great questions DD *waves hi*
Happy Friday H00rs!

1) Do you have a vacation you take or have taken every year (or often)? Where do/did you go?

I do get away yearly, but not to the same place (So many places to go, so little time). I try to go on a fun trip with friends (no husband, no child) and a family trip. I didn’t travel outside the US/Canada until I was 18, so I enjoy taking my mini places outside the US (so he’s tackled Barbados & Jamaica).

2) What is your current occupation/job? Why? Do you like it?

I work for the US Gov’t as a program analyst and I hate it, but it pays the bills. Why? Well I tried teaching for a few years and the administration and pay sucked beyond belief. And the parents were hell on wheels. I couldn’t afford to teach, I had (heck, still have) student loans to pay and a life to lead. So, I’m taking some culinary classes and hopefully I’ll be able to open another restaurant (ideally Bistro or exclusive B&B) in a few years and leave the civil service far behind.

3) What is on your bedside table?

My new pink plaid HP mini (with Edward skin courtesy of my mini), lube (don’t judge- it didn’t get put away!), books, earrings, a framed picture, cup of seltzer, and various papers.

4) What would be the title of your Biography?

Rode Hard, Put Away Wet: But still standing!

5) If you could have personally witnessed one event in history, what would you want to have seen?

Rob’s casting call for Twilight.

Okay seriously, I would have loved to see the Egyptians building the pyramids and carving the massive statues.

1) Do you have a vacation you take or have taken every year (or often)? Where do/did you go?

I have three kids and two of them are in college, so we're sort of on a family vacation moratorium at the mo, but I did go on the Twilight Fans Alaskan Cruise this past summer and it was amazeballs. I also visited FFFFOOORRRKKKSSS. I still can not speak of it, because it altered my life so completely.

2) What is your current occupation/job? Why? Do you like it?

I am the Marketing Director at a Real Estate Firm and I love my job. It exposes me to a very diverse RAINBOW of people and my coworkers are hilarious. Plus, I have the freedom to sneak in "blog comments" during the day. :-)

3) What is on your bedside table?

Lamp, alarm clock, tissues, lotion, fake plant (I kill real plants) and my iPad. I also have speakers & charger for my iPad.

4) What would be the title of your Biography?

The Secret Diary of a Mayberry Mom

5) If you could have personally witnessed one event in history, what would you want to have seen?

The destruction of the Berlin Wall.

That, and mebbe the first time Kris & Rob bumped uglies.

1. hmmm we dont do vacations so um going to six flags

2. I babysit to pay the bills until I can find work.

3. A lamp, my contacts case, sunglasses and some jewelry.

4. "Diary of a Wimpy Kid"... oh wait no uh "Are You There God it's Me Kassie?" wait "The Assassination or Kassie James by the Coward Robert Pattinson" yep the last one sounds the best except I would hope he killed by too much sex and he wouldn't be a coward about it.

5. Probably to see the first self-sustaining nuclear chain reaction at the University of Chicago.

Holy crap these are tough DD!

1. When I was a kid we used to go to the states nearly every year to visit family. It involved a fuckload of driving and various family dramas and crap, but on the plus side my grandpa lived in ocean city which is pretty fun when you're a kid and not interested in booze. Last time I went was five years ago, and I don't have a regular holiday spot any more.

2. I'm an unemployed Montessori teacher who works part time in a shop. Exciting, fulfilling stuff. Yeah.

3. A lamp, my glasses, whatever book (or three) I'm reading at the moment, my DS, inhaler, a big, loud-ass alarm clock and my iPhone if it's been surgically removed from me. Pretty boring, but I keep the interesting stuff well hidden ;)

4. "It IS possible to be a sexy nerd! Who knew?"

5. The Jack the Ripper murders. What? I'm morbidly curious.

Wait a minute, no dirty questions?! WTF kind of fff is this?

Wow! I haven't been here in so long that I started reading through the comments before my brain woke up and slapped me in the face and I realized I usually respond, THEN read. Unbelievable.

*waves to DD and everyone else* Hi Gang!

OK, let's see...
1) Um, no. Unfortunately. We used to go to the Oregon Coast almost yearly, but that was when we knew people with a beach house. They sold it, and that's all she wrote. We still go, but not necessarily every year.

2) Oh, gosh, DD. I'm an administrative assistant/ ad-hoc executive assistant for the corporate office of a national seafood restaurant chain. I'm not saying which one. I like it more these days, since I've taken on the executive duties, but I haven't been happy there in a long time. I'm hoping this executive stuff turns into long-term, because I think I might be happy with that, but we'll see. Why?? I was a temp and they hired me five-and-a-half years ago from that, and I stuck around because it was easy and not bad, and then it got really bad right when TH lost his job, so I had to keep mine, no matter how bad it was. Now it's better, but he's back in school and I'm the breadwinner, so I have to stay there unless/until I can find something with the same pretty-great pay or until TH starts contributing more, most likely when he gets done with school (June 2012).

3) All of my Twilight stuff (books and everything), an alarm clock, Stephen King's Beyond the Dome, and my Forks folder of memorable papers, including the scrapbook SV made me. It's pretty full.

4) "Here's the Thing..." (my RL friends always include this phrase when impersonating me)

5) Oooh... um... all I can think of is royal weddings and theatrical events. So either a wedding (like Katherine of Aragon to Henry VIII or Diana and Charles or something) or one of Shakespeare's premieres (even though everyone would be all stinky and disgusting) - Romeo and Juliet or something. That would be fascinating.

Great questions, DD!

Oops, forgot my cuddly skunk holding a pillow that says 'mornings stink!' who also sits on my bedside table. She's glaring at me now for forgetting her. At least the pillow's too tiny to smother me with. G'night all.

Ok, I almost forgot to do FFF. Again!! I blame Sookie, or I should say Eric, for it. :D

1. I try to go to seaside every year, but this year I didn't go. We've pretty much settled to going to Greece, not only because it's fairly close to Serbia, but because it's beautiful. Marko and I have agreed to visit as many Greek islands as we can.

2. Um... my current job is shitty, and you know I hate it, LoL. Not for long though. I am definitely not going to be working here after New Year's (maybe even before). Yippi! I already feel liberated. In case you're wondering, I will be taking the year off to write. We will live on a tight budget, but I don't care.

3. On my bedside table... a lamp, and a couple of books (which are also down by the bed).

4. Geez, this one is really hard, DD. Lemme think for a minute.
"The girl's who was prone to falling down rabbit holes"

Oddly enough, people never associate me with Alice, but they often tell me that I remind them of Pippy Longstocking, LoL.

5. Woodstock - that counts as an event in history, right? I love the whole hippie movement, not to mention the musical geniuses that played at Woodstock. Man, DD, you got me feeling all nostalgic for a time when I wasn't even born.

Nessa Lomiva said...

Hm, I'm gonna grammar police myself. I meant "The girl who was prone to falling down rabbit holes"; without the apostrophe, and without the 's'.

Hey late as ever but oh well I have my reasons...
1)Holidays-Up until I met Roy I never had a holiday with my kids, my ex wouldn't go and we could never afford one. The first holiday I had with the boys was only a cheap one with vouchers from the newspaper and when I asked the boys if they were enjoying it, they said it was best holiday ever and when I asked why they said it was because I was there...awwww. After that we have been away every year, I love America and want to go again 2012 I hope, but we are going back to same spot in Norfolk as we did this year for our hols next year whoo hoo love it. Love Norfolk!!

2)Job-I'm a medical secretary and whereas I used to like it, now it bugs the shit outta me, so much work its untrue, a manager who is a hobbit and a knobhead in one go and a Doctor who is so old now he just doesn't care, trying to get another job but nothing yet!

3)Bedside table-alarm clock, bottle of water, paracetamol, lamp, vicks sinus stuff, hand cream, glasses, glass cloth and about 15 books on the floor cos I can't fit them on the table, inside is another story altogether pmsl

4)Title of my biography-I'll try anything once...twice if I like it!

5)Moment in history to live-Either Woodstock as I love the sixties or the first moonwalk-just to check they were really there!!!

Brill questions DD, love ya!!!

Sorry I was away for my birthday. First my answers and then I will pick a winner:

1) Do you have a vacation you take or have taken every year (or often)? Where do/did you go?

Up until my senior year in college my family would travel to Maine to shop for clothes for school. When younger we used to go to a ski resort... in the summer to fish and hang out as a family.

2) What is your current occupation/job? Why? Do you like it?

My title is Regulatory Affairs Specialist. I work for a medical device company. We make product that are critical for human life so basically I would say you never want to use our products but if you have to you want to be sure they are ours. Pulmonary Functions Gases, Blood Gases, Anesthesia Calibration Gases and Eye Gases. I like the work I do (documentation/procedures, audits, training, labeling and everything else no one else wants to do) but the work load and social icks that happen are very stressful. But I love knowing that my job helps make products that help save people.

3) What is on your bedside table?

Lamp, clock, hand lotion, gratitude journal, tissues, Twilight books, paper and pen.

4) What would be the title of your Biography?

"Because Nice Matters."

5) If you could have personally witnessed one event in history, what would you want to have seen?

I picked this one without having an answer. My first thought was the demolition of the Berlin Wall but then I went to being there for witnessing Rosa Parks on the bus and then I went personal and thought about meeting my mother's parents and/or all my great grandparents on Mom and Dad's side.

Winner = TheOnlyMrs(Kassie)Cullen! I don't think she has even done FFF before and if she has, sorry for the repeat. But I couldn't pass up this answer: "Probably to see the first self-sustaining nuclear chain reaction at the University of Chicago." Didn't see that one coming!! Explanation???

@DD- I have done FFF once before but I'd be honored to do it again :)

I will explain my answer that won me the honors... I graduated from college with a degree in history and I'm from Chicago so anything historical that happened here I'm all over. I wrote a senior seminar paper for graduation on the making of the atomic bomb. I am still extremely proud of that paper. Plus seeing the pile of uranium and graphite blocks in person waiting to see the success would be awesome!
