The weekend round-up

Morning Ho's!  How was everyone's weekends?  After getting a taster of spring arriving last week, the North West of England managed to revert back to some good old rainy weather here.  Not that rain's necessarily a bad thing:

Saturday, as I mentioned, I took my two oldest boys to the museum with two of their friends on Saturday.  We saw Stan the T-Rex and I resisted buying the cuddly wolf cub toy in the museum shop.  Ollie spent the day flashing his 'Rob plaster' that he'd got over the cut on his hand - bless, it's a good job we chose to take friends and their mums that know about my Twi-obsession otherwise the children may have found themselves friendless back at school today. 

What Rob plasters should really be used for

Thomas's mum came to collect him from our house a couple of weeks ago after he'd been to play after school.  I didn't even think about it, but she walked into the kitchen, clocked FSE and said "Oh, you're not alone in the daytime then?".  I sent her home with the Twilight DVD and she's now waiting patiently until I can bear to share my New Moon one.

So, on to Sunday.  The day started at 4.30am when Will started being sick.  Luckily I'd fallen asleep when the kids did on Saturday night so I happily sat downstairs packing in some extra puter time.  He recovered ok but then in the afternoon Harry started.  He's still not well now bless him, but MrStan scored big brownie points by staying downstairs with him for the night while I caught up on my sleep. 

Actually, I'm getting worried about Mr Stan, yesterday morning he suggested we have a Twilight night last night because he hasn't seen the first film yet (!!!) and this morning, not only did he start reading a piece out of the paper about Rob to me (inserting his own comedy alternatives to what the actual story said), but at the end when it said 'continued on pages 34 and 35' he flicked ahead.

Ok, enough droning about my life.  Who's got the New Moon DVD?  Have you watched it yet?  Any new thoughts?  If you don't have it then are you going to?  What are you looking forward to the most?

Becky, and anyone else interested - forgot to add, yes, at a guess we'll be looking at somewhere around Mary (Burton area) or Nibbles (West Mids) for Eclipse :o)

Friday Fun Five

Ditto what Stan yesterday, I feel we are hurtling toward Christmas and its at a rate I'm not fucking happy with; slow down already!

Anyhoo being the craptastic blogger that I have become I totally forgot to say who won the FFF last week. Well initially it was Becky but I knew Becks wasn't too keen on the limelight so I said TooMuch Coffee won and emailed her asking her to send questions asap. I also emailed Becks and told her to man up and step up to the plate and write me some questions. Stiff upper lip and all that other Blighty tosh...and bless her she did. Which is good because I never heard from TooMuch Coffee (hello? helllooooo?) Oh yeah Becky won because of her disgusting habit of sticking her hair to the wall of the shower (gag). It was so disgusting that in my mind it was a winner lol...I have a thing about hair in showers what can I say..oh yes any comments in red are mine. I can't help it, I have to be involved...I have issues ok!?!

Ok ladies (rofl yeah right) shut up Nibbles...I apologise in advance if we have already had any of these questions. My memory is shit these days!

1) I know that all the Twilight boys are fucking irreplacable, but what about the girls? If you had to change one of them, who would it be, why and who would you replace her with?

Also can include any other female in the cast besides the usual suspects (its really hard to find a picture of them all-whines)

2) If you won the lottery what would be the first 3 things you would do? (This question was generously supplied by Nibbles as I was running out of ideas!) (See, helpful and purty!)

3) Since Eclipse is just 3 months away, what plans, if any , do you have for seeing it for the first time? Huge girly night out? Just you and your other half? Or wait till it comes out on DVD
(which is pretty fucking unlikely for anybody I would say!)

Yep you guessed correctly, its not the official trailer but its sooo good I put this on instead. Plus I really can't take to much of new Victorias hair, thank fuck she dies in this one. Oh come on there surely isn't a ho left among us who didn't know that?????!!!!

4) I am a total fanfic whore, I just cannot get enough. There are so many good ones that it would be nearly impossible to choose the best. But, if you had to recommend just one to a Fanfic virgin, which would it be and why? (To avoid favouritism you can't include authors on the blog!)

Community FanFic Thursday!

Is it just me or are the weeks flying by stupidly fast?  Blink and it's time for CFF or FFF again.  I'm really annoyed with myself this week because every night I've fallen asleep while I'm putting the kids to bed and missed the entire evening.  Think I'll send Mr Stan up with them tonight so it doesn't happen!  It also meant that I missed all of the Twitter activity about the UK Remember Me premiere.

I'm also in a good mood because after weeks of nothing, I'm managing to do some writing again.  I've been working on my new fic and this time round I'm trying to make the chapters a bit longer.  I've nearly come to the end of one and then I'm going to go back to Natural Satellites and Shooting Stars and do some more on that because I've seriously neglected it lately.

Ok then, on to this week's Community FanFic.  This week we're going to start with a paragraph from the actual Twilight book.  I thought the meadow would be as good a place as any, so here's your opener, have fun!

  I lightly trailed my hand over the perfect muscles of his arm, followed the faint pattern of bluish veins inside the crease at his elbow.  With my other hand, I reached to turn his hand over.  Realizing what I wished, he flipped his palm up in one of those blindingly fast, disconcerting moves of his.  It startled me; my fingers froze on his arm for a brief second.

  "Sorry," he murmered.  I looked up in time to see his golden eyes close again.  "It's too easy to be myself with you."

  I lifted his hand, turning it this way and that as I watched the sun glitter on his palm.  I held it closer to my face, trying to see the hidden facets in his skin.

Actually none of the guys seem particulary vain, they all wander around doing their own thing normally. I don't think I'm vain, given the choice I rarely wear make up, probably because I was plastered in it in my goth days. I do however love my deep red lipstick and I hate it if my hair won't go right, really pisses my whole day up the wall that does.

So is there anything that you're particularly vain about? If I ever come into money I'd probably get my eyes done LOL, yes I would...

OMFG, some days shit just happens and this was one of them! Have you ever just wanted to whack one of your kids upside their head, peer in his/her ear and shout "HELLLOOOOOO, anybody in there?"

Ok this morning I'm dropping kids off with their various friends and I end up 4 cars back from my mate Gayle who is dropping a horde of kids off at school including mine. She runs back and says Tom has left his maths book at home can you fetch it to school for him. So I head off back to home and when I get there....no maths book! I ring him and his phone goes dead. I ring Gayle "Are you still with them?" "No" she says "I've left them at the gate they're waiting for you"

Grrrrrrr, I ask her for her son's number as I can't get hold of my son and while I'm waiting for her to text me that I'm ringing my other son to tell him to find Tom and say no maths book at home. Sigh...no answer from elder son Jack, no answer from younger son Tom. No text with younger son's friends phone number on it. I'm getting a bit peeved at this point as I'm sitting on the sofa at home instead of heading to work....

Ok ring friend Gayle again, gets phone number, rings son's friend, gets hold of son who says he charged his phone for 20 seconds this morning and thought it would be ok???????? What! So I ask, is your maths book in your bag, did you look? When he does look, as he hadn't looked before, guess what? Its in the freakin bag, he had it all the time GROWLLLLL!!!!!

In the meantime my eldest son is texting me, why are you ringing me? What do you want?

Oh so now you look at your phone....it makes you wonder sometimes is it all worth it lol then I look at these pictures of my favourite boys and think yes it is...

So are they worth it in the long run lol if you have kids what drives you crazy about them, even though we love them and wouldn't want them any other way. For those of you that don't yet. Just wait lol!
